For FS5.x (requires Flight Shop)
Converting these files alter the performance of the A/C in FSW95.
Please download the file glexp953.zip if you want to use it in FSW95
it's the FSW95 version of this plane.

The Global Express* is a Corporate Jet that's still under development.
4 aircraft are in flight. By 8/30/97 the first three aircraft in the
test program had flown 705 hours in 272 flights. The fourth aircraft
joined the test program 9/10/97. It can fly 8 pax and 4 crew 6,500 nm
at M0.85 or 5,000 nm at M0.88. The max operating Mach is 0.90 but the
aircraft has succesfully flown over this limit.

MGTOW is 93,500 lbs so burn up some fuelbefore takeoff. MLW 78,600 lbs.
Requires 5,550 ft. of runway for takeoff and 2,010 ft. for landing
(8pax/4crew/NBAA IFR Reserves) or 2,600 ft. (S.L., MLW).
NBAA IFR Fuel Reserve (8 PAX) 3,100 lbs.
VR 129 kts; V2 132 kts.; Approach Speed VREF (S.L., MLW) 125 kts.
This plane can fly up to 19 PAX but the typical configuration is 8 PAX

Performance Specs:

Here's some information about the model.

Weight empty:	50,400 lbs (includes 4PAX, 4 crew)
Fuel: 6,568 gal / 43,350 lbs (remember MGTOW is 93,500 lbs.)
Note: 1 PAX = 200 lbs.

M 0.85 @ 47,000 ft with pwr 93-94% N1
M 0.88 @ 41,000 ft with pwr 97-98% N1

For those that use Flightplanner 4.0 here are the settigs

Max fuel:	6,568
Flight Level:	47,000

		Cruise Climb Descend

Speed 488 300 300
Rate 2,000 2,000
Fuel Flow 470 900 430

These settigs are for normal cruise (M0.85)

For M0.88 change FL to 41,000 cruise speed to 525 and fuel flow to 670.

Design History:

v1.0(beta)

Some navigations lights didn't perform as desired. Some parts
dissapear or overlap.

v1.01(beta)

Lights Fixed

v1.1

Fuselage repainted, flaps added. Most parts overlap and dissapearences
fixed.

V1.2

Revised flight dynamics. Slats & Spoilers added to the visual model.
Majestic Airlines logo added to the sides (globexp.air) and Majestic
Airlines livery (majglexp.air).

v1.3

More fine tuning (converted model went out of control above 300 kts)
to the flight dynamics thanks to the information page by Lars Kornstaed
t about Flight Shop Design Tips and Tricks. This page can be seen at
http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/L_Kornstaedt/mypage.htm or at
flightsim.com in the "how to" section.

v1.4

Corrected the CG for a more stable approach, plus some other changes to
the flight dynamics.

v2.0

This version has a brand new visual model, only the tires and vertical
stabilizer survived from previous versions. For this model I used
about 95% of coponents and parts reaching the 540 parts limit so don't
expect any important visual changes in future versions. The flight
dynamics were modified so the model works well in both FS5.x and FSW95.

v2.01

New textures so cabin windows remain lit at night.

v3.0

Brand new visual model and flight dynamics. The FS5.x and FSW95 flight
dynamics are fine tuned for each version so download the correct
version you want to use. Landing lights (FSW95 version only) added
using LLADD by Siggy Schwarz.
