           Bombardier Aerospace
       Canadair Regional Jet Series

          Aircraft Description

The Canadair Regional Jet Series 700 is a stretched 70-seat derivative of the
popular 50-seat Canadair Regional Jet Series 100 and 200 aircraft powered by
two advanced General Electric CF34-8C1 engines.
The eight per cent lower specific fuelconsumption (sfc) of the CF34-8C1-engine
relative to that in the series 200, coupled with the additional seats
gives operators a significant reduction in seat-mile direct operating costs.

The Canadair Regional Jet also features comfort and cabin amenities comparable
to mainline jets. It is a roomy aircraft with two-by-two seating that
provides more than six feet of standing headroom. Overhead bins, hot meal
galleys, lavatory and efficient climate control system ensure passenger comfort.

Commonality with the existing Canadair Regional Jet family will mean
substantial cost savings for mixed-fleet operators. Training costs
will be reduced by common crew qualification for both aircraft and
there will be additional benefits from commonality in maintenance, spare parts
and ground support equipment.

The Canadair Regional Jet* Series 700,
a 70-seat derivative of the 50-seat
CanadairRegional Jet, was officially
launched on January 17, 1997, to meet
the demand for larger aircraft with
superior operating economies on
regional airline routes.

Roll-out and first flight of the
aircraft is scheduled for the first
quarter of 1999. Certification to the
 latest airworthiness standards of
 Transport Canada, the U.S. Federal
 Aviation Administration and European
 Joint Airworthiness Authority is
scheduled for the third quarter of the
year 2000, followed by initial customer
 deliveries. Two separate aircraft type
certificates will be awarded, for a
 basic 70-seat "A" model and a 72- to
 78-seat "B" model.
