Arch of Constantine , constructed in 316AD to commemorate a victory by emperor Constantine in 312AD.
Colusseum, under construction from 70 to 82AD, would hold 50,000 spectators.
Below the wooded arena floor, there were passageways for the wild animals and rooms for the gladiators.
The colosseum was constructed in three tiers and had 80 entrance tunnels.

Arch of Titus. Built in 81AD to commemorate the capture of Jerusalem by Emperor Titus.
White twin column building in background is the monument to Vittorio Emanuele II, located in the Piazza Venezia. The monument is referred to by locals as "the wedding cake".
