CHANCERY COURT CASE, Hardin County, KY, Circa. 1859

BANKRUPTCY of Dr. Ambrose Edward Geoghegan,  Circa. 1872
Dr. Ambrose Edward Geoghegan fell off of the face of the earth after the 1870 census.  I had looked high and low for him until one day on a long shot I checked the Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.  I found him buried in a paupers grave and his wife was several rows away.  How did a very successful doctor go from riches to rags?  This is part of that story.
