Being a part of our organization
provides a way of making new acquaintances with others that have a common
interest in radio communications for emergency use. We are also organized
for charitable and educational purposes and, without limiting the generality
of the foregoing, includes the following:
1. encourage effective monitoring on the Citizens
Band (CB)Emergency Channel 9 and other communications media;
2. promote interest in and extend the benefits
of membership in REACT;
3. promote and encourage proper radio use and
etiquette
Q: WHAT AREAS DO YOU SERVE?
A: This team serves what is commonaly
known as the San Gabriel Valley which are bounded by the San Gabriel Mountains
to the North, the I60 Fwy. and its ajacent foothills to the South, the
I210 Fwy. to the East, and the I110 Fwy. to the West.
Q: ARE YOU AFFILIATED WITH ANY OTHER
OGANIZATION?
A: This team while an independent organization,
is subordinate and responsible to REACT International only and is not affiliated
with any other group.
Q: DOES YOUR TEAM MEMBERS GET PAID
FOR WHAT THEY DO?
A: No member or officer of this team receives
a salary or other compensation except in return for actual expenses incurred
for the good of the organization, and only to the extent provided for in
the approved team expenditures.
Q: DO I HAVE TO OWN A TWO-WAY RADIO
TO JOIN?
A: Absolutly not! Just because you have an
interest in communications and helping others and and a willingness and
desire to get some form of a two-way radio, be it an amateur, CB, FRS,
business or GMRS radio, is enough to qualify you for membership.
Q: ARE THERE MORE THAN ONE TYPE OF
MEMBERSHIP AND IF SO WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT TYPES?
A: There are three classifications of membership.
1( Regular: must be 18 years or older
2) Junior: must be 14-17 years old.
3) Honorary: must have approval of executive
board.
Q: MAY I HOLD MEMBERSHIP IN MORE
THAN ONE TEAM?
A: Although REACT International permits this
our team discourages this practice.
Q: HOW DO I JOIN?
A: There are basicaly two ways you may join.
1) By application
Just fill out the easy online application
found at this site. Or if you prefer we can send you an application in
the mail. Just ask us, via email, to send you an application. Be sure to
include your complete mailing address in your request.
2) By transfer from another team.
