Unmasked
Adoring her, kissing slowly
Never ceasing passionate joy
A clear night sky, shooting star
His heart of a cheerful boy
His prize he treasures day and night
Devoting all his love to her
This desert rose, prized as all
One day he calls, no answer
He calls each hour, day and night
He pounds and thrashes at her door
He searches endlessly, lost in fright
Breaking entrance, a gruesome sight
A pool of blood on the floor
Can it be the one that he adored?
He cries out loud, but in vain
He shouts a thundering "why!?"
All his riches, and his glory
His royal chain worth ten million
Meaningless monuments of grandiose vanity
He lays there staring into the dark
A shrouded figure enters slowly
Points a pistol at his head
It takes his riches, royal chain
It turns around, he lurks from bed
His golden dagger stabs the fiend
The thief gags slowly, coughing blood
In the cellar, the thief then dies
He unmasks the fiend, she is his love
