Remember
I sit here pondering the days now gone by
A share in the thoughts that welcome a silent cry
Amidst the winter of a lone December
A shadows gloom that I remember

I sit here now, the time gone by
A stubborn fool who tried to fly
the heavens above and stars that shine
Broken in ashes, fleeting in time

The storm had ripped and torn my strength
Bled and crushed it to the brink
A wish to die from that December
The storm has past, but I remember

Amidst the rubble where darkness grew
A plan to build and start anew
less foolish now than once before
the knowledge that my lessons bore

A bright we age, a brand new day
and so I stand, a world away
from the pain, a lone December
and forever, I remember
