Warmth
Howling winds around my dorm
Speaking frost and Ice the Norm
I’ve lived thus far within the plane
Where echoes heard are all the same
Drifting through a numbing pain.
And then you spoke and drowned the echoe
Winds of frost silenced now
And warmth came in to take the shadow’s
Place and hearing one clear sound
Of a love never lost but found
And summer came, I knew no more
The cold behind the past’s closed door
And shadows died, our love did grow
Reaping what few can sow
And joy did overflow
You push the cold out the dorm
And shine in evanescent form
I kiss you once, forever more
They cannot take you past that door
It’s cold again
