Cherry
Core of the morning
Clear as dawn
When rays set closely beyond the sun,
And taste of winter that never comes
Light as a cherry falling down
She pounces
Radiating a graceful fall
From cherry trees standing tall,
And apples too, though far from home
I glance upon the turning stone
And kiss
My heart’s desire within the night
That fell upon not long ago
Descended down from heaven’s fall
None is seen, none is known
But this
As I lie upon the bed
And kiss her gently on the head
And shrouds unveiled behind a cloak
While distance wavers, she softly spoke
I heard
Only that voice that descends to earth
An angel fallen upon my arms
That ceased to care for what is not known
Or see or hear what is not shown
Hidden upon a future’s hold
Can I ask for any more
Than this I see now laying down
Upon the silence of silence known
The air conditioner is softly blown
And turns off
Clear as the morning fog I see
The sun where my cherry be
Piercing rays fell from the sky
Skewed at an angles length
To fall and die
