CINEMA Film Critic
Cinema has been around for over 80 years. I started my film criticism in late 1997. That is a big stretch, especially for me, who has often confronted beliefs that its possible to go back and review every film I have ever seen.
This is simply not possible. As the year progresses, film continues its voyage with new pictures, floating down a river that began nearly 70 to 80 years ago and continues to flow as we speak. Year by year, it comes in and out of our lives, as it progresses further and further down the river, ever so often reaching rough spots, floating on smooth ones, and even taking different paths. No one can predict what lies ahead, nor can one remember everything which has already occurred.
It is my attempt to review as many movies as I can, but with the notions that todays film needs to be monitored constantly, there is hardly any time to do so. It wont be possible to review and remember all of them, but it is, perhaps, possible to remember the ones that count. The great movies are the ones that we often look back on, as they have enriched our lives with nostalgia, joy, freedom, escapism, and sometimes, even sorrow.
This is where the weekly column of the great movies has come in. Like so many film critics around the globe, I am attempting the fate of remembering all the treasures of the past. The great movies, as once certified by a close friend of mine, Are the embodiment of peoples love for the cinema. True, and when time comes to look back and see the accomplishments I sustain in criticism of the film, the great movies will be the first place I go.
Its hard to forget such pictures. In my list of the great movies, there exists a number of films which, I feel, belong to the list of the all-time greats. It is a list which will assuredly grow each year, as the great movies continue to develop in Hollywood. Every movie here on the list will be reviewed, one each week, until the list is complete and in full swing, ready for new entries at the end of each year.
And so to you I present my finest memories in the cinema, the embodiment of my love for film, and the spirits that keep it alive and promisinggreat movies.
