THE ERIKSDALE PUBLIC LIBRARY PRESENTS THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD FUNDRAISING & BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT

The Eriksdale Public Library is operated by the aid of grants and set funding from the municipality. Any additional funding must be raised by the Library itself. This additional funding enables us to do things which help us grow & flourish, as well as to maintain our Library.

To provide the Library with a unique sidewalk and possibly a patio area, the Library Board is offering to sell bricks at a cost of $50.00 per family or individual. The brick will be provided, prepped, & made ready for a family name to be applied as a means of public recognition for their donations. The bricks will then be sealed and set down as part of the walkway to the Library.

The idea is to end up with a yard that is going to draw people to our Libary...And also an inviting and peaceful place to sit, rest, and perhaps read a book.

Anything over and above the cost of the beautification aspect of this project will finance regular Library function and upgrades.

Any past or present family names may be applied. If anyone would like to paint their own brick, you are welcome to do that as well.

A tax receipt will be issued from the RM of Eriksdale office for all donations received for this project. Donations to our Library must meet a minimum of $25.00 to qualify for a reciept (and be submitted through the RM of Eriksdale office).

If you visit our Library and think that you have read all of the books there; please consider making a donation...it is surely needed and appreciated.

Computer usage basics

Please do not forget that at the Library we have totally modern computer services for you to use. There is a one hour time restriction for leisure activity on the computers. For research and for assignments, there is no strict time limit.

We encourage children, youths and adults to do homework and projects on our computers; we disallow any live messenger or live chat services online.

All leisure, study and research activity is free for members of our Library. For any online activity that concerns business; we charge a fee per hour (for members too).

We require that non-resident members purchase a $5.00 Non-Resident Membership, or pay a $2.00 per usage fee prior to using computer services.

We require that the sound level at the computers be kept to a bare minimum (eg. Use headphones for sound [available at the desk], whispering, only if neccessary; as in all Libraries).

No matter what conditions apply; all are welcome to use this service.

To all of our valued patrons...your visiting the Library to utilize our services is very much appreciated. Come as often as you like; you will always be welcomed.
