about Brittany
Brittany Mikayla Brewton is my second little angelbaby. What a delightful little handful my growing girl would be. Four years old. Getting ready to start school in just a short while. Oh, what a thrill that would have been. But I would have gone through anything to have her here with me right now Brittany's father and I were very much in love. Brittany was inside me for a short six weeks, but it was a profound experience. She was my "blue stick" baby, the one I knew about before I lost her. Her daddy and I had split up before this, so when I found out I was pg. I was extra excited because I felt it would give me not only this precious child that I had wanted for so long, but also a little piece of him. I knew I was pg even before the stick turned blue. I had started eating grapes again, straight off the vine from the store. I HATE grapes, except when I am pg. There's a new food craving....some women do pickles and ice cream, some do cold chicken at 2am, I did green grapes 24/7. So when I went and bought the Clear/Blue Easy it was basically a waste of money. But that feeling on 6-6-96 was all too familiar too. When I woke up to that sharp pain after taking that test just a week or so earlier I new that my baby would be joining her sister. Sure enough when I investigated further I found she already had. Words could not express how much agony I felt. And worse still, going through it alone. Brittany was due on January 30, 1997. I have a mother's ring with her birthstone in it.
