PART 6


        "Reporting for duty, Captain,"  Paris said as he entered the bridge.
        "Ahh.... there you are.  Come here and take a look at this,"  Janeway
said.  She was standing near Tuvok's station.  He came over.
        "What is it, Captain?" he asked her.
        "Look at this.  Human life signs, coming from the fourth planet.  There
seems to be a field of some sort surrounding the planet.  We can't
transport through it or take a shuttle down, it would rip it apart.
Could we take Voyager down herself?" Janeway asked.
        "Uhh... I believe so.  Don't know if we could get back up, but if there
are humans down there, I say we take the risk," Paris said.
    This was it.  If there were humans down there, he and 'Lanna could stay
with them.
That's what the whole thing was about.  He and B'Elanna wanted to
settle on a planet.  Peacefully.  Raise a family.  Live a long life and
die.  But now it would be even better......
