FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: What is a tush tag?

A: A tush tag is the white tag on the beanies behind. It is used as reference for the beanies name. It is usually changed in some form every year. Any beanie babies from Canada have a larger, second tush tag.

Q: What is a swing tag?

A: A swing tag is the heart tag connected to the beanie. Included on the swing tag is the beanies birthday, name, and a poem about about the beanie.

Q: I have a beanie with the incorrect swing and/or tush tag. What does this mean, and does this affect the value in any way?

A: A beanie that has a wrong tush tag generally increases the value of about 25%. A beanie with the wrong swing tag does not usually increase or decrease the value of a beanie because they can be easily switched even if you know your beanie came like that. Most of these mistakes are manufacturing mistakes made by Ty. To see prices of the beanie baby, please go here

Q: I have a Waves with an Echo swing and tush tag. (Or vice versa) Is this common, and what does it mean?

A: This is a common mistake found in the first shipments by Ty. This is the most common manufacturing mistake made by Ty. The problem, though, is now fixed, therefore all the Waves and Echos produced now have the correct tags. The prices of these mistaged beanies are around $25.

Q: What is the difference between an old face and new face Teddy?

A: The old face Teddys are no longer produced. Their eyes are outside of their nose. The new face Teddys look like all the bears produced today. (1997 Holiday Teddy, Peace, Valentino, Curly) These generally their eyes right above their nose. We are hoping to have a picture of these out for you to see soon.

Q: Which beanie babies will be retiring next?

A: We are not sure, and are just as anxious to find out as you are!
