A Little About Me!

Collecting is more fun when you share the experience with others!!

My name is Stephanie and I welcome you to my webpage!! Since I've had this webpage, I have come in contact with and learned about many wonderful people who visit my site, so I feel that its only appropriate for me to tell you a little about myself.

I am 26 years old and graduated in May 1997, from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Currently, I have a full time job working for the Federal Government.

I've been an avid beanie collector/"hunter" since 1997. I lost count of the number of beanies that are in my personal collection, but it consists of close to 250 beanies (including such prize beanies as GARCIA, MAPLE, BRITANNIA and GERMANIA) and continues to grow everyday! When I received my first beanie for Christmas (which was RINGO the Raccoon--one of my favorite animals!), I never would have guessed that my interest and collection would grow so emensely that it would lead to a webpage!! But, as I'm sure most of you collectors can attest to, beanies are very addicting and can lead to some crazy things! Lucky for me, a webpage is the craziest thing I've done (so far ;) )!

I started this webpage back in March of 1998 as a hobby and I work on it in the evenings after I come home from work...it sort of relaxes me. I never realized how much I would LOVE it!! I can only hope that you enjoy it half as much!! My mom, who is a first grade teacher and also a beanie collector, was the one who introduced me to HTML after she took a computer graduate course at a local college (she had to create her own webpage for the class called Theresa's "Star Search" Page - its a really cool site all about the constellations, so check it out sometime when you get a chance!) And the rest, as they say, is history...
