2002, Asian Man Records. This split CD has to be one of the best, most evenly matched splits that have ever been produced. Both singers have the same general sound, but both bring to the table some great differences. I am always quick to pan acoustic or mostly acoustic albums, but this one is truly driving. Personal songs, all of the tracks on this disc are, but one can adapt their own experiences to those sung about on the disc. Standout tracks on the CD include "The City that Day", which definitely has a Plimsouls sound to it, and "1981", which has seemed to defy categorization for me throughout all the times Ive listened to this disc. If you are looking for a Alkaline Trio or a 7 Seconds album, be wary about buying this. It is completely different from both acts, and in my honest opinion, transcends any effort either band has put forth to date. In fact, this album has moved me to such a degree that I have to carefully choose every word in this review. It has created a heaviness in my heart that remains long after the last strains of the CD have ended. Support this CD. Buy it off Asian Man directly at http://www.asianmanrecords.com .
