Rob Peters-Flatiron. Slow, old style rock that could easy be blown off as Pussy, but many a comparison can be mad to Elvis Costello, even as early as the first track When Did You Leave Heaven. Our Memories sounds like a mixture of Veronica, Let It Be, and Dobie Grey, and one should remember that most of the music on the album is created with only his voice and a guitar, throwing in accompaniment on drums every once in a while. This is shown with the simple drum beat in a song like the Cat Stevens-esque And I, possibly due to the rich timbre of Rob's voice. Scapegoat, beginning with a minor amount of harmonica, is markedly different from the rest of the CD, showcasing more of Rob's musical diversity with the bluesy feel of this track. With And We're Strangers, Rob places a female vocalist at the head of the song, who manages to sound somewhat like a Liz Phair or a very young Petula Clark. Finally, Emily, contains a certain beauty of unnamable form that perfectly ends this refreshingly good and different CD. To contact Rob, all one has to do is write:
