One5OH! - Superhero

16 songs, of which the last 6 songs are instrumentals, clocking in at 74:02, or about 4:38 per song. One5Oh is a praise act consisting of 5 musicians. This is their 3rd release, a follow-up to both "Everything" and "Live". One of the first things that can be said about this Indianapolean band is that their CD sounds extremely professional. One5OH! sounds like a mixture between Audio Adrenaline and Delirious. One5Oh! will be the next big act to hi it big, so I suggest that you tune into their extremely positive message. The whole mood of the CD is very sedate, which works quite well with the act. In "Hallelujah, Your Love is Amazing", One 5 Oh! throws in the Kenny G style saxophone backdrop, most excellently played by Gabe Turner. "Superhero" is obviously the title track, and this track is by far the most radio-friendly song on this CD< with an incredibly catchy chorus and interesting guitar lines in the style of all the famous three-chord heroes. I just know that I was singing the chorus to this song before the end of the track. "All about Love" throws another interesting thing into the mix, with a earl-80s sound to the beginning of the track and simply amazing female accompaniment and a saxophone solo. One5OH!, on this release, puts together a entirely solid album that can be praised for some very catchy tracks on this disc. "We Will Dance" begins much like a "This is the Time"-era Michael W. Smith, with a Irish tone and a diving military drum beat during the chorus. If the beginning of "We Will Dance" sounds like a Michael W. Smith song, then the regular bits of the song sound like a Blessid Union of Souls song, a good thing always. "Breathe" is the perfect ending to the vocal part of the CD with an excellent vocal piece that makes one desire something that may be missing from their lives. Do a favour to everyone and pick this album up! Jeff Shields work on "Breathe" is breathtaking, almost as beautiful as Andy Schroeder's vocals during the track.
