Moral Decay – Demo 2002

This is an interesting CD, and I am sure it would be much more interesting if I could hear any of the shit that this band is saying. However, the fact that the CD was recorded during 3 practices and 1 recording session really give me more of a realistic view of the band, as I so often get Cds that are completely polished and devoid of any and all soul. When there are discussions about the right version of the that they are going to play, I feel closer to the band. From what I can tell, this is a political punk band, but the only evidence that I have to show this is th liner notes that I received from the band themselves. Imagine a more disturbed version of the Dead Kennedys or Propaghandi and you have an idea of what these guys sound like. Perhaps someone should go and see if this band has put something out that is a little bit more intelligible than this CD, as I would probably recommend it if I had an inkling of what they are talking about. It really seems as if they had the mic too far down while having the rest of the music way too far up. One of the more interesting nuggets on this CD would be a totally instrumental trak, which is "Filial Piety". The track itself reminds me of surf-punk acts like The Astroglides, as the track causes you to put yourself on the rising and falling action of the sounds waves that the band has created.
