Junker Jorg – Diet of Worms

Imagine if Linkin Park and Korn got together and had a kid. Now, imagine if the kid rejected for everything that the two bands stood for, and was a uber-Christian. We have Junker Jorg in their glory. Hard guitars mesh with screamed out vocals in the style of music that was popular a few years ago, about the latency period from secular to Christian music. Really, most of the music is aural candy, but nothing really of substance comes from it. I mean, you can call me biased against Christianity, but I like almost all Christian music, besides most of this Hardcore/Metal music. As with normal Hardcore/Metal music, the lyrics, when I can hear them, do not hold much in the way of substance. This is in opposition to Christian pop music and secular politically-minded music, as both contain messages which really make the music worthwhile to me. If you are offended by the bands that I’ve already mentioned, but you are really in love with the sound of the music they play, by all means buy this album. Otherwise, this CD just doesn’t have much for the avid listener, as all of the bands that played in the style before them have already did this shtick.

Rating 5.6/10.
