This is what passes for popular music, I guess, in the Israeli scene. This CD has a low-fi feel to it, and a female singer makes the transition in my head into sounding similar to Elastica and the Breeders than anything. However, I still notice a lot of the residual surf sound on this band, probably something that was so ingrained into the musical culture that is hard to shake. Instrumental songs also make their CD all the more interesting and mysterious, as I have long ago lost the information sheet I was given about the band. On some tracks, a electric organ/synthesizer makes its grand appearances, and just makes my point all the more correct about the residualness of surf music in Israel culture. Seriously, this CD is a fun listen, especially if you put it on and do chores, or something along those lines. While I'm sure sure if the music will really do much for a listener in the message department, as it is not in English, it is fun to listen to just to hear the innovative styles that this CD has to it, including a host of cool instruments and a female singer that is incredibly easy to listen to on the ears.
