Swedish/Hungarian/Polish political punk band, no lyric sheet include though, but it doesnt matter as this act is composed of ex-band members of Heffaklump, Randy, and Buck Wild (Patrik,Vocals), Houdini Five (Jan, drums), Flonk (Fredrik, guitars) and West End Memorial (Michal, Bass)Their songs are a mix of pop-punk, indy rock, and emo with godlike vocals. Patriks vocals are so professional, while other parts of the band fill in wonderfully to make one of the cleanest sounding bands that are international that I have ever dealt with. All the songs on the CD are extremely catchy with a sound that acts that are 25 times more popular could not get if they tried. 17 minutes is much too short for a band that is so extremely good. But, as their information sheet says, they are going to release a full length CD. Im not sure if its out yet, as they were supposed to start recording in February. Suburban Justice will be the lucky label to release diefenbakers new CD. Diefenbaker has the talent and aural sound to succeed, but only time will tell if this Swedish/Hungarian/Polish band will taste success. In fact, this album was originally released a 7 inch EP, where it enjoyed a very decent amount of success. Insufficients beginning guitar riff sounds like Millencolins Mr Clean, with a sharp solo-like guitar riff leading to the exunt of the song. If Diefenbaker didnt have the breakneck urgent tempo to each of their songs, the songs would be in the camp of upbeat sounding yet inherently depressing pop-punk songs. Every time I listen to this CD it bothers me because I can only pull out a few words from each line, and I am sure Diefenbaker is taking about something exciting. The vocal accompaniment on Secure the Area, which is a woman, adds a bizarre sound to the mix. Get in touch with them at Diefenbaker, c/o Jonsson, sondsparet 25, 5-424 31 angered, Sweden.
