James McQ: They are really fast pop punk, well oiled, and in true cool and phat form the vocals can barely be heard . Fast Songs. They kind of sound like JFT, and a little like the MMBT. They have really kick ass audible bass typical of pop punk bands .Cover of Samhain song that is better and more full of pep then the original. "My Punishment" short fast drum beats couple with excellent clear guitars. Perfect vocals with usually more than one person singing. They are party punk. Fucking awesome sols. "Come Home" a slow indy/emo song with crunchy guitar lines, and a little punk influnced. "Definintion" Blink/SO Cal sounding song, with an amazing basss line. "Stop Me" Much Bass, which is the driving force of the song, and the vocals sound a little like Tim Armstrong. All of them sound great together. "Cant Say No" excellent alternating bass lines. ALl of the songs are very short. They also change tempos in the songs like masters. They make fun of Straight Edgers too!.

Katie Rodock: I like the style and sound of the music and the band members attitudes. The black haired guitar player also has cool tattoos.

Andrew Roach: I think it was my mom who once claimed "Punk is Dead" . That may be true, but its bastard child known as punk/pop is alive and thriving. Now I usually hate punk, but if IM going to have my eardrums destroyed, I want to at least hear some harmonies and decent bass and guitar lines while it happens. Sidecar did just that during their set at Cool and Phat on July 9th. My first clue this band was going to kick ass: the drummer is actually the lead singer. Though the sound was miserable (as usual) the drummer has a great voice which qwas enhanced by some nice harmonies from the other three members. The bass player was excellent, and the guitar licks added some cool layering to the boring power chords that is punk rock [Ed.Note-Most punk isnt power chords, but pop-punk is!]The best thin about Sidecar: their stage presence. They didnt take themselves too seriously , filling up the space in between songs with some wisecracks about watered down beer at Pizza Hut and Straight Edge punks. Overall, a really fun show. Im just glad I can say that I knew them then.
