Performing an Emergency Save Monopoly® CD-ROM
DOCUMENT PURPOSE
This document explains the procedure for creating a "saved game" at
ANY time; even when it seems to be impossible to do so. Sometimes the
"save game" option in the Monopoly game is not available. This
can happen when the game crashes or after a disconnect. This procedure
shows have a game can be saved even after the monopoly game is no longer
running.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1 - Open the folder where the monopoly game is installed and locate the file
PREBKRPT.TMP. If you do not know where monopoly is installed use Find
utility to locate the file.
2 - Make a copy of the file. Rename the copy to SaveGame.MNO.
3- That's it! The SaveGame.MNO file will contain the game exactly as it was prior to exiting Monopoly.
WARNING: IF YOU RESTART THE MONOPOLY GAME PRIOR TO USING THE ABOVE PROCEDURE IT WILL NOT WORK. MAKE SURE YOU USE THE EMERGENCY SAVE PROCEDURE LISTED ABOVE BEFORE RE-RUNNING MONOPOLY.
