March 1, 2007 (Thursday)
Due to Tom coming to pick me up I did not have to attend morning Mass with the students. I instead was to attend Mass with the monks because Tom wanted to attend that one. Around 8am I got a call from Tom telling me about a blizzard that Nebraska was getting, and told me plans would have to be off until tomorrow. Thanks to the snow I get to spend my one chance out of here stuck at Conception. To occupy myself I ended up watching I Dream of Jeannie for the whole night.
March 2, 2007 (Friday)
I talked to Tom when I got up in the morning, and again due to snow I will not be going to Nebraska. After talking with Tom I called up my good friend Bomb, and he agreed to coming by and picking me up so I could stay with him for the weekend. He was to pick me up at 4pm, so I decided I had time to lead the Stations of the Cross for those who wished to attend. At 4pm I was free from Conception. We stopped at a movie rental to rent the movie Jesus Camp. Once at the Bomb�s house we played the Nintendo Wii and ended up watching Jesus Camp later in the night. I must say the Wii is very amazing, and I would like to purchase one soon. The Wii�s controller system really allows you to get a good workout. For supper we got some pizza without meat of course seeing that it is a Friday.
March 3, 2007 (Saturday)
I woke up around lunchtime today, so I ended up going to McDonald�s to get something to eat. Once getting back we played some more Wii and also watched the movie �Snakes on a Plane.� The movie was good, but did have a few scenes which should have been left out. During these scenes we fast forded our way through. When the Wii got boring we ended up playing some Scrabble.
March 4, 2007 (Sunday)
Today we went to Mass at the Bomb�s home parish. Father Regnald, a monk of Conception Abby, is the priest at this parish. He gave a very good homily and I was also impressed with the people of this small parish using the Sanctus and the Angus Dei. After Mass we went to a local place each which served fried chicken. After eating we returned to the Bomb�s house and I finally got to watch Season 3 of House. From what I got to see this season is amazing and far better then the last two seasons. After getting done with House he brought me back to Conception and thus ends my Long Off Campus weekend.
March 5, 2007 (Monday)
This week signals mid-terms here at Conception. Mid-terms here are not too bad, and in my classes I have none to do. One thing which I have to do is catch up in Medieval Philosophy, so I won�t get a deficiency. This Friday will be the Board of Regents and I was lucky enough to be chosen as a waiter for the event. Also, I forgot to mention that Alejandro returned to Conception last night and will be visiting until Wednesday.
March 6, 2007 (Tuesday)
You know it is Mid-term time at Conception when the Formation Conference is given by Doctor McGrath and she is handing out bookmarks. Around this time other students get Spring Break, but not here. Instead we must make it until Easter Sunday, and then we to will get the chance to take a break.
March 7, 2007 (Wednesday)
Sam and I ended up leaving early for apostolics. While out we made the usual Chipotle stop followed by Best Buy. This time we also stopped at Border�s and Old Navy. Today I was feeling sick for a good part of the day, so I ended up letting sister teach. We covered the Passover in class, and it was good to see the kids from my class remember what was taught seeing that we covered it earlier in the year when the focus of the class was the Old Testament. Once I got back to Conception I checked my emails and Father Isaac returned all my papers with passing marks, so I should be lucky enough to get by without a deficiency.
