HOME BACK

April 1, 2006 (Saturday)
I did not head to Kansas City for the Old Latin Mass as was planned, but instead I stayed here and worked on my philosophy paper which will be due in two weeks. After getting the paper done it was time for me to head off to apostolics. It was another game of dice and yet again I tied for 1st place this time with Oswaldo. On the way back I bet you can guess what we did. If you guessed stop at Chipotle and eat a giant buritio you would be right. After Chipotle we stopped at Best Buy and I bought an ihome. Once we got back to Conception it was time to head off again to see Ice Age 2. The movie was very funny and had many scenes that made me lauph. After the movie we stopped at Wal-Mart and I picked up a cope of the movie about Saint Therese, and already have it ripped onto my ipod.

April 2, 2006 (Sunday)
Got back in real late last night because I went out to Saint Joseph to get some breakfast at Perkins and got back in at 3am thanks to the time change. Mass was very crowded today because of a huge group who was up for a Tech Weekend. After Mass I took off to Maryville for some Mexican food. Once I got back to Conception it was time to take a long nap to catch up on all of the lost sleep. After getting up it was time to watch the Fox block of new episodes. All new King of the Hill, Simpsons, and Family Guy along with the announcment of the Simpsons Movie.

April 3, 2006 (Monday)
The visitation started today with a confrence in the morning. The conference did end with just enough time to get to first period. I will meet with one of the visitors tommorrow morning. Soccer was the game for team sports and things ended up being a tie between the two teams. Supper was good for once because they gave us Mexican food.

April 4, 2006 (Tuesday)
I must say that today was a great day here at CSC. It turned out to be a day without Father Albert teaching our science class. Instead we had Bishop Finn who taught us about Stem Cell Research and how it is up for vote in the state of Missouri in the most confusing matter. After Bishop Finn's wonderfull class I had my visitation meeting. Father Samuel gave the Formation Conference and pretty much hinted that orthodoxy may be on its way to Conception. Looks like the future looks like required work and required study time and possibly a bright future for a campus where we are not allowed to leave.

April 5, 2006 (Wednesday)
Got back two homework assignments today from science class and did well on them. I got a 92 on one and an 88 on the other. Tommorrow I will have a test in that class, and I just hope I will somehow be able to pull off a half way decent grade. My CDs that I ordered from BMG came in today and I put all the songs onto my itunes which brings my songs total up to 1,267. Today I got in touch with the twins and asked them to learn Psalm 23, so they can sing it for me this summer for my prayer service. I got the idea to use this Psalm in Monday as I was sitting in Mass. It just seemed like this was what I was to do, and this idea was backed up later in the day when I started to read "Story of a Soul" where Saint Therese of Lisuix uses this Psalm early on in the book.

April 6, 2006 (Thursday)
Well I took my science test, but it was horrible. I pulled off a D last time and I really think I will be lucky to get a high F this time. It looks like I will spend today writting a review of the class to turn in. There are so many points to bring up this should turn out to be a long paper. I have everything from the teacher promising to review with us before the exam, but then never come around to having the review. Father Albert is also late to class often and has missed many days due to having other things to do besides teach. I feel like I have learned nothing since being in this class, and it has become the biggest waste of my time. To think they call this an introduction, but instead we are expected to already know all the math. This class is a joke and hopefully with the many complants from the class things will change!

April 7, 2006 (Friday)
The long awaited weekend is finally here. This weekend holds a need to do some finishing touches on my philosophy paper. Hopefully I will be able to get a lot of sleep tommorrow and not be awaken by the noise of Abbey Trails. After prayer we went to Applebees to have some shrimp seeing how any type of meat is out for a Friday in Lent. After Applebees it was back here in time for Holy Hour which I attended. Here I read over "Story of a Soul" and prayed my Rosary. After Holy Hour is was back to the fustration of Physical Science cause I had to do three labs. I have no idea what I am doing, but I must get them done. I really hope the school does something with this class in the future.

April 8, 2006 (Saturday)
Today was a great Saturday which started me off with that long needed sleep. After waking it was up to the Psych-Ward where I played a game of 10,000. After the ward it was off to the usual tradition of Chipotle. On the way back to Conception we drive by Bryan, Evan, Dillion, and Corey who where on the side of the rode with a flat tire. We pulled over to give them a hand and got them back on the rode. They pulled out infront of us and then we pulled up beside them and got into a war with left over school lunch. Bryan ended up getting a cookie to the face. I must also add that our new tabernacle is in and I have seen it. It is nothing impressive I actually prefer the one we have in place right now. Hopefully it will look better once I see it in the light and not through the window of a locked room. Andy set things up for a new take on a movie night. He set everything up outside and had the movie night in a drive in fashion. The movie picked for the night was the Chronicles of Narnia.

April 9, 2006 (Palm Sunday)
Mass started a bit early due to the palm procession from the outside to start things off. It was a most touching moment as the monks came out and the palms where blessed and then we where off walking around to the front of the church. As I got closer to the doors you could hear the organ playing and also the bells began to ring. I then walked through the doors and into the utter splendor of the Bascilica and then the Mass was under way. After Mass I took a very long nap and woke up to work some on my Philosophy paper. Nick also sent out an email saying everything he owns is up for grabs seeing how he joining the monastary. I closed off my night with King of the Hill, Simpsons, and Family Guy. I found King of the Hill to be the best of the three because it made fun of how people get attached to a certain seat at church.

April 10, 2006 (Monday)
It will be so nice after classes end on Wednesday because I can finally call this week over. Just a few conferences to attend and then early Sunday morning I will be out of here and on my way back to the great state of Tennessee. Today went well espically team sports where the Sophomore Class beat the Freshman Class to earn a pizza party. The pizza party will be held tommorrow at noon at Pizza Hut and will be paid for by Skip. After winning volleyball I headed back up to the floor and my DB gave me a bag filled with Diocese of Knoxville polo shirts that I ordered over the summer. Its great that I can finally show off my Diocese pride. Tonight I will devote my time studing for the New Testament Test that I will have tommorrow morning. I should do well as long as I devote some time to study.

April 11, 2006 (Tuesday)
New Testament test started my day off and only time will tell to how I did. I think I pull of a decent grade on it. We got back our science exams today, but of course the whole class had failing grades. The best part of this horrid class today was Doctor McGrath coming in to save the day with evaluations. The big question at that time was will twenty minutes be enough time to write all my negative feelings about the class. After class was over it was time to head to Pizza Hut in Maryville. After eating we went to Wal-Mart and purchased a few water guns to have fun with on the floor while having nothing to do. I just finished my philosophy paper, so all I have left to do tonight is study for tommorrow's SBS test.

April 12, 2006 (Wednesday)
Its finally over; no more class until after Spring Break. Started my day by turning in my Thomism paper and next in the line was an easy SBS Exam. On the bad side of things my throat hurts really bad. Hopefully I will get better at least by the time I leave here to go back home on Sunday. It would be horrible to spend my week back home sick.

April 13, 2006 (Holy Thursday)
My tempreture is now up to 100. I guess this is a good thing to be sick before break and not during break. At 11am we had our big Reconciliation service where I made a confession to Father Adam. After the service was over a few of us went out for some pizza at the usual spot. Tonight I have Holy Thursday Mass at 5pm with supper to follow. I will for sure go to Mass, but I may skip out on supper because of this cold. After supper there will be adoration which I would like to go to, but it depends on how I feel at the time.

April 14, 2006 (Good Friday)
Today is the day of Jesus Christ's death. Today the church is in a state of mourning because our Lord has died, but will rise again to bring us everlasting glory. Today Mass is not celebrated, but instead a beautifull service that is filled with the mourning spirit. At the end of the Good Friday service the tabernacle is left empty and the barren cross is displayed upon the alter. Now a bit about myself. I am still sick, but at least my fever is gone. I am going to stay positive that it will pass by the time I get to leave here and head back to Tennessee.

April 15, 2006 (Holy Saturday)
Chirst's Ressurrection will soon come, but until that hour the church will remain in a state of mourning. Tonight the Easter Vigil will be celebrated and with it many new people will finally come into Communion with the Roman Catholic Church. My prayers will be with these people espically those from my home parish in Greeneville. The person I think of most of all is Kelly who will soon be able to join the rest of her family in this Holy banquet. The next time I add anything to this journal I will be back home in the great state of Tennessee. I leave you all with a reminder of a show called God or the Girl which will air on Easter Sunday on A&E. I encourage you to check it out and hopefully it will enspire more people to follow the great calling of Christ. As is said in the bible "Come follow me and I will make you fishers of men."
The air times for the show is as follows:
Sunday, April 16 @ 9pm/8C
Monday, April 17 @ 1am/12C
Monday, April 17 @ 11am/10C
Monday, April 17 @ 5pm/4C
Friday, April 21 @ 8pm/7C
Saturday, April 22 @ 12am/11C
Sunday, April 23 @ 1pm/12C

April 16, 2006 (Easter Sunday)
I am finally back home after a long day which started at 3:30am. Easter Vigil started at 4:30am and Mass went well. It was very beautifull to start off Mass without the lights on and without the organ to back up our singing until the Gloria where the organ was used once again and the lights slowly came up to truely announce that our Lord and Savior rose again. After this amazing Mass some horrible news reached my ears. I was told that this time someone has stolen many items in Saint Joseph Hall. This is just crazy seeing how Saint Mikes Hall was the one that got robbed right before Christmas break. At 8am I was out of here with Barry and we meet up with his mom and sister at a Cracker Barrell to have some breakfast. After eating I went to the airport to hang out for awhile until finally getting to leave KCI at 1:30pm. The plane went to Detroit and then I finally arrieved back in Tennessee at 9:30pm.

April 17, 2006 (Monday)
After no sleep yesterday I slept for 13 hours. It was great to be able to sleep for such a large amount of time for once. I went to Wal-Mart after finally getting up and I ran into Heather who was in my graduating class at DCHS. It was great to see her again and I hope to see more of my former classmates while I am back in. After Wal-Mart I ate at Wendys and then went back home where my mother talked me into going to girl scouts with her. The troop went on a little hike that took about an hour. After getting back in I watched the movie Terese and once again this movie left me with the desire to become a saint. If you have not seen it I highly incourage you to check it out. I also must note that I finally got a copy of the Compendium of the Cathechism. This book is very great and is also a must have to your Catholic book collection. It is in the question and answer form of the old Baltimore Catechism, but is more in line with the current Catechism of the church.

April 18, 2006 (Tuesday)
Started my day off with Mass and then I returned home where I layed around and did nothing for the rest of the day. I had a meeting at 7pm for the Deanery Youth Ministry. I got back home around 9pm and I plan to spend the rest of the night doing the same that I did for my day, nothing. I am looking forward to tommorrow because I will finally get to see the twins and my other friends again at tommorrow night's high school meeting.

April 19, 2006 (Wednesday)
To think my break is half way done, but once I go back I will only have 3 weeks left till I get to return again. Started my day off by having lunch with the Notre Dame staff and once I got back to the parish Father Jim gave me a lot of great books which will come in handy down the road. He gave me a set of Bible Commentaries which costed about $50 each along with many other great titles. Once getting back Wes dropped by to talk with me some about summer camp. At 6:30pm all the fun started because I finally got to see all the high schoolers again. It was great to see the twins, Paul, Kelly, Matt, Abby, and the rest of the crowd again. We did a test about some simple facts of our faith which we should know, but of course they had a lot of trouble doing the test. Hopefully this test will be a wake up call that they need to learn more about their faith always!

April 20, 2006 (Thursday)
Started my day off with Daily Mass and then had to head to Johnson City to go to the dentist. They just did a check up on my teeth and told me that all looks well, but I really do need to look into removing my wisdom teeth. She told me I can get them all four cut out in a day, but that I should take it easy for two days after getting them removed. It looks like I will finally give in to their demands and set something up for before summer camp. After getting back to Greeneville we had some lunch with the Notre Dame staff and then I was back home to do nothing for the rest of the day.

April 21, 2006 (Friday)
It is 4am and I just got back from Cosmic Bowling. It was great to be able to spend time with the twins, Paul, and Meredith again. I broke the 100 mark on 2 out of 3 games. I must note that the music choice became very sickning by the end of the night, and I had to end up telling them to play something clean. Of course the guy found me to be weird and turned my request into the most sexual music possible. At this point our group left due to the sinfull music being played. I must also make note of earlier in the day getting to spend some time eating at Fatz with Heather, Kelly, and Matt. After the meal I went to see Ice Age 2 again with Heather and Kelly, but Matt did not attend the movie. Also, please say a prayer to Saint Anthony, the patron of lost items, for my wallet which I cannot find anywhere.

April 22, 2006 (Saturday)
My plan for the morning was to attend the children's First Reconcilliation at 10am, but I did not get up until 2pm due to getting to bed so late last night. I got to the church for 4pm and Victoria and Sarah showed up so they could assist me in serving the Mass. At this Mass Father Jim made his big announcment that I have known for some time. He told everyone that he will be leaving Notre Dame and heading to the other side of the diocese. He told everyone about our next priest, Father John Appia, who will be pastor starting June 1st. Its going to be weird having a new priest at Notre Dame after having the same one for the past seven years. After Mass I went to the brick oven with the twins. The food here was great, but the company of the twins was much better. Tommorrow I will get to leave and head back to school which in a way makes me sad, but on the other hand I only have 3 weeks until I will be back in town. I must also send out a thank you to all those out there who made a prayer for my wallet because it is safely back in my hands.

April 23, 3006 (Sunday)
It is 11:49 and I am safely back to Conception. O the joy of knowing that I only have 3 more weeks until I get back home for the summer. Today was great because I attended both Masses and also served for them both. After the 11am Mass I said my byes to a few people and the found my grandmother waiting for me in the parish hall so my family ended up going out to eat lunch with her following Mass. After we got done eating it was time to head to the airport and now I am back here, but not ready for classes tommorrow.

April 24, 2006 (Monday)
It was back to the normal seminary schedule today after such a long break. The day was started off with Morning Prayer in the oratory where the new tabernacle is now in place. I still am not fond of it, but I do think it is sufficient for its purpose. Philosophy was the first class back and our papers where handed back to us. I actually pulled off a C+ which is a very good grade when it comes to Father Issiac. After Mass a few of us went into town and we ate some Mexican food. I will let you make a guess at what we had for supper? If you said ham you would be a winner! Also, before it gets to late to tell this story I will tell it now. It was told to me by a family that goes to my parish back home in Greeneville while I was waiting in line Sunday to eat some Mexican food. I was told that about three months before the announcement was made of me going off for the seminary she told her daughter one day while I was serving that I would become a priest. And to think only three months after making this pradiction I am well on my way to the priesthood.

April 25, 2006 (Tuesday)
Started the day off with Mass in the oratory and the new tabernacle was blessed by Father Xavior. After Mass it was off to New Testament where I took a quiz which I got an A on and also go back my test which I got a passing grade on. After classes ended for the morning I went into Maryville to get some Chinese and then returned for lab. After lab I wrapped up the year by finishing my last Recollection group and Chaplain Meeting. Brother has not written my final evaluation, so I will have to meet with him before the end of the year to take a look at it.

April 26, 2006 (Wednesday)
I am very tired today after a great game of Ultimate for Team Sports. All classes went well, but I am on the mad side of things right now. During my meeting with Brother last night he told me that Father Samuel wanted to talk with me. The reason for this meeting which will go down at 3pm tommorrow is because I have been accused by someone at this school to be a member of a group that has be titled the "God Squad." This group of people is looked down upon because of their views and now I have been thrown into the mix. I am not a member and hurts me to think that a fellow brother would bring my name up without talking things over with me first. I remain in good hopes about tommorrows meeting because I am not a member and I for the most part like this school and the expirence I have had here so far.

April 27, 2006 (Thursday)
Rain is in the forecast so May Day will not be held tommorrow, but Monday. The usual night before May Day tradition is doing pranks, so when out class returned to the floor we found out shower curtons and the fixtures for the water gone. One problem with this prank is May Day is Monday not Friday, so please follow the rules of the prank wars. I also must note that I had my meeting with Father Samuel today and all went well and was wrapped up in about five minutes. I am still mad that my name was listed in this group which in all truth does not exist.

April 28, 2006 (Friday)
This name throwing of people who are in the "God Squad" has just gotten very dumb. Brother Elias came up to a group of us and told us that he has now been labeled the Chaplain of the God Squad. Give me a break who will be included in the group next? I have also heard some rumors to more changes here at CSC next year. Looks like underclassmen will be allowed to leave for three hours only on Saturdays. Father Samuel still does not have things set in stone with the upper classmen. I just feel bad for all those Ecounter guys who come here after visiting this past year and find a completly different seminary then what they visited. I closed my day off with Holy Hour and made a confession, so for the time being I am finally free from sin!

April 29, 2006 (Saturday)
On the way to apostolics this morning the Surburban started to act up so we turned around and did not attend. Now I only have to go to apostolics one more time this year and then all will be done. So far my Saturday has been nothing but a long nap and a bunch of doing nothing. I would like to start on my New Testament Take Home Quiz and finish it tonight, but with how lazy I fill right now I doubt I will get to it. I have also uploaded 16 new pictures to my pictures page, so I encourage you to go and check them out. They are in the folder called Cosmic Bowling and have some of the pictures I took from my cosmic bowling outing with the high school youth group last week.

April 30, 2006 (Sunday)
I never got around to doing my New Testament because I ended up heading out to Perkins for a late night run. It is still in the looks of rain here, so May Day will not be held tommorrow. Friday will be the last possible day and if it rains then we will get a free day. After Mass I took it easy playing some NBA Live, going to the Knights of Columbus meeting, and even working on some New Testament here and there. Tommorrow will be start of a new month and with it I will only have 13 more days until I am on my way back home.
