May 31, 2005 (Tuesday)
Was going to be an easy day of going to Mass and then helping my mother get everything ready to go on her trip. Of course though I can not go to Mass without coming across a job to do. The first thing on the list was get rid of the old refridgerator in the hall and replace it with the new one. After that was done I had to stuff envelopes with notes that dealt with the GIFT campagne. The best part of the day was lunch because Father Jim served up some steaks. My rosary came in today, and it looks very good finished. This was the first one I made, and the only place that really looks bad is on the end of the wire where there is extra wire. I cannot tuck the wire under the beads because the hole in the bead is to small. I will try to work on something to make it look better.

May 30, 2005 (Monday)
Today is Memorial Day and its seems like a lot of people have headed to Florida to go to the beach. Not me all I did was continue to work on my house in Jonesborough. I am starting to see a difference in all the work we have done, but we still have many more work days to go until we will be done. Last night I started reading a great book written by Joseph Cardinal Bernardin called "The Gift of Peace." I recommed this book to everyone it was well written. It covers the last 3 years of the Cardinals life where he faced a false sexual allegation and was diagnosed with cancer that would eventually take his life. My mother will be leaving with the girlscouts tommorrow so I should have a whole week with no one to bother me.

May 29, 2005 (Sunday)
Today is Corpus Christi Sunday and I attened both masses. At both I was given the job of being a Eucharistic Minister. I really like being able to give people communion espically those who are young. To be able to kneel down and give them the Body of Christ. After the 8am Mass Father Jim gave me some of his old books. One of the books that I aquired was an old Latin Sacrdamentary. After picking up the books we headed back to Jonesborough to do some more work on our old home.

May 28, 2005 (Saturday)
Went back to Jonesborough to do some more work on the old house. We filled my dad's truck with trash bags that had to be brought to the dump before it closed. After dropping the trash off we stopped by Wal-Mart to get a few needed items. I picked up the Andy Griffen Show Season two ans seen Father Jim while I was picking it up. Jim told me he had a few book that he wanted to give me. Said he did not want to get rid of them and I could put them on my bookshelf to look smart. Went to the 5pm mass today, but did not pick the books up, so I will get them when I go tommorrow.

May 27, 2005 (Friday)
Spent the day working back home in Jonesborough. Worked a little in the yard and packing items up for a yard sale that we will soon have. I found a table that will make a perfect alter for my home in Greeneville. Today is also the graduation of five members of Notre Dame. My prayers are with them always in all that they do.

May 26, 2005 (Thursday)
Had a little run in with Verizon Wireless today. I got a call from them saying I owed them $488 for a cell phone. There is one problem with this, I do not own a cell phone. I had to go by the local Verizon to clear my name. It turned out the owner of the phone in question was named Dustin P. Collins and he gave the company my number and address. Our social security numbers where different, so I am clear on this one. I was worried for a minute that someone stole my idenity.

May 25, 2005 (Wednesday)
The big day of getting together will all my friends to take Stephanie out was today. I was goign to have 13 attend, but two people did not show. The numbers then went back up to 12 because Heather brought her boyfriend along. I recorded the Spring Break video onto a VHS, so Stephanie can show it to her friends if she wants. Then they all can see how crazy that we are. I know that I along with everyone in our group will miss her greatly. Hopefully one day our paths will cross again.

May 24, 2005 (Tuesday)
Today was my big debut infront of the people. I had to fill in for Father Jim because he took his off day today and got to do a communion service at church in the morning. I think it went well and that I will only improve on any future endevors of trying this. I am looking forward to tommorrow because I will be going to Italian Village to eat with the High Schoolers. We are having this meal together because Stephanie will be returning to Germany in a few weeks.

May 23, 2005 (Monday)
I finally got that day off. The first one since being back in TN. Went to Jonesborough cause my mom was having girl scouts. I took off to walk to the White's in town to waist some time. As I was coming back Tom & Karen pulled over and asked if they could give me a ride. Tommorrow I will be leading a communion service because Fr Jim will not be around to do Mass.

May 22, 2005 (Sunday)
I still need to unpack my computer and get rid of this old one that I am doing. It will not allow me to upload my photos, so it may be awhile until I get some new ones added. Today was the kick off for our capitol campagne. We kicked it off with a huge party with the parish community. We had a Titanic slide, a magic show, music, great food, and many other things. The high school group helped out to man all the fun. It was such a long day my legs are in pain and refuse to take another step.

May 21, 2005 (Saturday)
My life stays busy by starting off serving the funeral mass this morning. After the Mass and the mercy meal we started to do some work for the bug event at the church tommorrow. Attended the 5pm Mass today and after that it was back to work for GIFT.

May 20, 2005 (Friday)
I figured this would be a day of doing nothing, but I was wrong. Mom kept me busy for the whole day. We went to Daily Mass together and then went to eat breakfast. Next, we did some work around the church office until we went to Wal-Mart for a few items. Fr Jim went with us and he had us stop for subs on the way back to the church. Also, later in the day I went to a wake for a deceased parishoner of Notre Dame. After I got out of the wake it was off to attend a graduation at Chucky Doke High School.

May 19, 2005 (Thursday)
Started my day be going to Daily Mass. After Mass my day was crammed with things that I wanted to do. First I visited my old high school DCHS so that I could see Mrs. George. While I was talking to her Baines came in and I got to talk to him for awhile. The next thing on my list was get my passport so that I can go to Germany this summer. After getting my passport info it was back to the church, so we could leave to see Star Wars III. On the way we ate pizza in Jonesborough and then went on to see the best of the new trilogy of Star Wars. You must see this movie it was great!

May 18, 2005 (Wednesday)
Went by the church in the morning to find out that a funeral will happen in 30minutes. I was going to go shopping with my mom, but I decided to stay and be an alter server for the mass. Another funeral will also happen on Saturday. After the mass I helped my mother set up the room for high school who held there last meeting. The attendence was good, and it was great to see all of my friends again. After we ate we played a game much like Family Fued, but based on the Bible. I was the gameshow host as the parents beat the studets yet again just like last year. The parents are now 2-0!

May 17, 2005 (Tuesday)
Was up at 4:30 this morning, so I could attend Vigil/Morning Prayer with the monks. I was able to talk my dad into going with me, but I could not get my mom to budge from bed. She did join us at 7:30 for mass. After mass we ate breakfast and I was told a monk from Conception was visiting. On the way home we passed by the original Kentucky Fried Chicken, so I got my parents to stop so we could check it out. It is great to be back in Tennessee.

May 16, 2005 (Monday)
Woke up early to get back on the road. We arrived at St. Meinrad Archabbey a little after noon. The place is huge! At first I was lost but by the end of my stay I started to get the feel for the place. The rooms here are nice they even include there own bathroom with a shower.

May 15, 2005 (Sunday)
Actually woke up early enough to eat breafast. After breakfast I spent the rest of the morning getting the last bit of my stuff shoved into the crammed van. Mass was stuffed with people here for graduation. We had to pull seats out from everywhere in order to fit everyone. After mass it was some last good-byes and then it was on the road to home. On the way we dropped my roomate off at the airport and we stopped for the night in Mt. Vernon, IL.

May 14, 2005 (Saturday)
My parents where waiting for me as I got out of mass. Instead of staying here for Lunch we took off to Maryville to eat Chinese. After getting back to school I spent the rest of the day packing up. Due to so many guests being here for graduation my parents could not go to Supper with me. During supper Andy pulled my seat out from under me as I was sitting down. The sparkling grape juice that I held in my hand went all over me. I attacked back in anger espically when I got back up to find him lauphing at me. I threw the drink that was left over at him and told him some harsh words. I do not agree with what I done and I feel bad for doing it. I did not think things threw I am a seminarian and I must live my life following the path of Christ. I will not write again until I return home around Tues.

May 13, 2005 (Friday)
Woke up at 6:30am to attended mass at Clyde. Many sisters where present because they are having confrences and sisters from around the US are there. After mass one of sisters let us into the relic room, and Anton got to see them for the first time. No classes today, so I packed and took things easy. Ate at Long John Silvers for Supper, and then watched Kingdom of Heaven at the Hangar. Mom and dad will arrive tommorrow and I cannot wait!

May 12, 2005 (Thursday)
What a crazy night last night was. When I returned from Maryville some rooms had power and some did not. My room happend to be one without power, so I had to run a cord into my room from a room that had power. The power returned around 1am. I know some more of my grades: a B+ in Moral Theology and a C+ in Math. Classes are finally finished and starting at 3:30pm I had to set up the tables for this Saturday's graduation. To think I will not have to wear class day attire again until next year. And o yes Marco beat Chris to become the new Vice President of CSC.

May 11, 2005 (Wednesday)
No classes in the morning, so I got to sleep until mass. The only class I had was SBS where I turned in my take home test and listened to students give there presentations. My Philosophy paper was in my mail box and I passed with a C. I really had a big feeling it was going to be a F, so this is a great releif for me. I am goingout bowling tonight with some of the class. Should be a lot of fun to spend these last days here with my fellow classmates. Also, the big election for vice-president will be tonight, so I will keep you posted on the results.

May 10, 2005 (Tuesday)
The Theology test was a breeze. Turned in Philosophy and Fr. Issac has cancelled class Thursday. Now I have to worry about what he will give me in the class. I hope I pass even if it is with a D-. Mass today was for the 114th Anniversary of the Dedication of the Bacilica. Took a math test today that was huge. The test was really hard, but I still think I will pass the class. At last all school work is done, so I am going to go out and watch House of Wax tonight.

May 9, 2005 (Monday)
Finished Dr. Johnson's paper around 2am and was in bed by 2:30. Writing was just turn your paper in and leave, so I went straight to bed to catch up on sleep. SBS was cancelled, so I have until Wed. to do the take home test. My self-evaluation has been finished and all looks good and I will get to return to CSC next year. I better be off to finish my Philosophy paper and study for my theology test. I do not want this to be another all nighter.

May 8, 2005 (Sunday)
Finally got to take BC out! We went to see a movie and then ate at Applebees. After Applebees it was to Wal-Mart, so I could get some sodas to help fuel me for these upcoming days of Finals. I am just getting ready to pull an all nighter to finish up my Dr. Johnson paper, and if I fill like it I will also finish my Philosophy. Well I better get to work or this will be a late night.

May 7, 2005 (Saturday)
Who would have imagained all that I have to report today. Things actually happened here at Conception. My day started with making my last trip to Savanna for apostolics. It is nice to have another thing off of my list of things to do, but I will miss everyone I met with and I plan on visiting again next year. When we got back we where going to take BC out for his going away dinner, but he did not show, so the class went out with out him. Even Brother Elias joined out for our outing to eat Meaxican in Maryville. Then at night Mike's 4th went nuts seeing how Brother Elias was away to pick up Brother Frowin who is also originally from Knoxville. The night started off with hall tennis which ended up with a broken window, throwing water ballons out the window at people passing by, and a bottle rockit attack on those getting drunk by the Lock.

May 6, 2005 (Friday)
I will never have another class on on Friday. Its great that the weekend is finally here, but I really need to focus my time on my school work. With only 4 more days of school left I still have 2 papers and 3 tests.

May 5, 2005 (Thursday)
Had my last Liturgy Pratecum and News & Views of the year. News & Views had 11 people on the agenda. The last two were Marco and Chris who gave their campagne speeches. Looks like the election is going to be a tight one, and March might just pull off the win. Also I sent my money away for the rosary that I made. Hopefully it will come in soon and I will have no problems putting it together.

May 4, 2005 (Wednesday)
Gregorian Chant was a lot of fun today. We came in, he asked us if we had any questions for him, and then he let us leave after being there for less than 5 minutes. Also the class is over for the year. Spent the rest of the day studing for my SBS exam. I think it went quite well. Election results came in to show it will be Chris vs. Marco for the spot of Vice-President. Christ has got my backing! Go Chris!

May 3, 2005 (Tuesday)
I am still sore from May Day. I didn't think I did that much work, but I hurt everywhere. Did my math presentation on Immanuel Kant, and I think it went well with the amount of work I put into it.

May 2, 2005 (Monday)
Woke up at 6am to get ready for May Day which started at 7. Found the floor to be egged, but thanks to this cold I am blessed by not being able to smell them. It was a chilly windy day, but I did have fun. After all the events the white team, the team I was on, won the whole thing with a score of 180 to 175. I will spend the night thawing out and working on my math paper which will be due tommorrow.

May 1, 2005 (Sunday)
Getting sicker today. Hopefully I will be over this cold by tommorrow because of May Day. The best part of this day was the return of Family Guy to TV. Also at mass my Gregorian Chant class sang a song for the offetory. Welp better be on the guard tonight because it is going to be a night of pranks between the two buildings.
