April 30, 2005 (Saturday)
Time to return to the towers with a cold. Yep! A cold! I always get sick on my travels it seems. Since my flight to Atlanta was canceled I went threw Cincinnati instead. Got into KCI at 5pm and then returned to Conception to check on the LAN party that was going on. I went to see the 9:30 showing of a Hitchickers Guide to the Galaxy.
April 29, 2005 (Friday)
What a fun day I had. Spent the morning setting up at the country club for the banquet to follow mass. I reserved seats for Heather, Stephanie, Meradith, and Kelly. The mass went well espically with having Bishop Kurtz as the main celebrant along with many other priests. My mothere also talked Victoria and Sarah into coming to the dinner, so I had them sit with the rest of the high schoolers. The food was great and the dance after was a lot of fun. This is actually the first time in my life that I have danced.
April 28, 2005 (Thursday)
Home at last! The trip back to Tennessee went well. I droped my tickit in a shop at the airport. Had to backtrak and found it laying in the floor of the shop.
April 27, 2005 (Wednesday)

Remember vote Chris 05'.
April 26, 2005 (Tuesday)
The Day of Recollection is over. The two talks were great. One of them was on prayer and the other was on the Eucharist. I got to meet with the three sisters today and we talked about my prayer life and my love for the Eucharist. I think the three sisters have helped me to stay focused on my prayer life that I sometimes get a little lax on so far into the year. The three sisters names are Tiziana, Elena, and Michela you can check there bios along with more information of there order by clicking here. At supper I got to sit with Sister Tiziana and we discussed her order along with other things.
April 25, 2005 (Monday)
Day of Recollection started tonight. We have four sisters talking to us, and they seem to very nice and cheerfull. They have not put a sign up sheet out to talk to them yet. I really hope that they do because they have a great attitude and know a lot about prayer which was the focus of the first talk. After the talk went to the chapel to reflect for awhile, and now I think I will go to sleep.
April 24, 2005 (Sunday)
Got up and packed up our gear. After packing up went 40 minutes out of the way to go to a Wal-Mart for no reason. After returning from Wal-Mart we decided to return back to Conception. After getting threw the door it was time for a warm shower because yesterday's was in freezing cold water. Next went to go and see Amittyville Horror.
April 23, 2005 (Saturday)
Went fishing with the guys in the morning. I did not fish, but sit around and take a little nap. John caught 5 fish and Jamie caught 1. After we had our hotdogs for luch we took off to explore the surronding town of Trenton. It was here that we went to mass at St. Joseph parish for the 5:30pm mass. Before mass we wasted some time exploring an ateque mall. After getting back to camp we cooked a mix of many things from chicken to rice and everything in between. This night was colder than the previous night, but I made it threw.
April 22, 2005 (Friday)
Wore blue jeans to SBS, so that it would be out the door and off for camping. It was a cold night, so we had the fire a blaze. The supper for the night was hamburgers. It is so nice to be away from Conception and be able to spend time with my friends.
April 21, 2005 (Thursday)
Stroms have been on and off here since early in the morning when we were woke up at 4:30am by the storm. Right now I am writing my ruff draft for Dr. Johnson which is due tommorrow night, so it will probably end up being an all nighter. This may also be my last entry until Sunday night cause I will be taking off with some of the guys to go camping for the off-campus weekend.
April 20, 2005 (Wednesday)
Not much going on today. Went to Wal-Mart after supper to buy some food for our camping trip. We spent 86 dollars for 6 people.
April 19, 2005 (Tuesday)
Habemus Papam! We have a pope! The news was announced while I was in Fr. Issac's class. Apon hearing the news we were ready to dash out the door, but Fr. Issac told us to sit down because he has seen enugh pope's in his life. After getting out of class it was straight to the tv room where Cardinal Ratzinger was announced as the new pope and choose the name Benedict XVI. We went to a Mexican restaurant to celebrate the new pope. Day ended with a rosary said in honor of Pope Benedict XVI.
April 18, 2005 (Monday)
The Ecounter participants attended classes with us today. We talked Fr. Timothy into moving Gregorian Chant to the 4th floor tv lounge so we could watch the procession of the Cardinals into the Sistine Chapel. This is something I may see only a few times in m life and it was a very powerfull expericance to see the Cardinals make an oath to secrecy on the Book of the Gospels. Around 1:25 black smoke was released and with it another day of elections is promised. The guys from my Diocese and the rest of the guests for the weekend are now gone and things will be back to normal for the next 4 weeks I still have to go here.
April 17, 2005 (Sunday)
Some of the semanarians here told their stories to what brought them to the priesthood. Threw these talks I think I should post my story on this site at sometime so people can read what brought me to the seminary. After Evening Prayer my Diocese took off into town to spend some fellowship together at a local restaurant called A&Gs. The food was great and so was our waitress Katie. After such a fun weekend I get to return to classes, but think only 1 week and I will be out of here on a little camping trip.
April 16, 2005 (Saturday)
Ecounter guys started to arrive today. They will be searching for God's call in their life, and hpefully CSC will get a few vocations out of this. The guys in my group seem that they have a strong calling. Some to the priesthood and others to maybe some other type of life be it married or even an order. Coffee Shop was held tonight and I think a very fun show was shown to everyone. Hopefully they will not find us to crazy for them to come here. After all the activities ended for the day I walked around the campus with a fellow student talking about how everything was going here at CSC.
April 15, 2005 (Friday)
My Diocese has arrived to visit for the Ecounter Weekend. We have 5 people looking into possibly coming here. Fr. John O'Neil and Fr. Mike Cummins came down with the group. It looks like the Diocese has a promising future.
April 14, 2005 (Thursday)
Went to Wal-Mart with the guys to look at camping supplies for our off-campus caming trip. After getting back I spent the night redoing my Dr. Johnson paper.

April 10, 2005 (Sunday)
Went out today with Sam to look at one of the campgrounds that we are considering to go to. The campground is on the outskirts of Maryville and tries to hide the corn fields with a few trees around the camping area. Hopefully we will decide to go somewhere else. After looking around we went into town to eat at Applebees.
April 9, 2005 (Saturday)
Abbey Trails, a 3 mile race, was held today, but I was not up at the time of this event. Returned to Apostolics after a two week absence. After getting back I took off with BC to Wal-Mart and then we went to the movies to watch Sahara.
April 8, 2005 (Friday)
Woke at 2:30 to watch the Pope's funeral. Spent the day sleeping following Writing II. Went out and ate some KFC, and then went bowling. I had a pretty bad night, but it was fun. After all the fun in Maryville we retuned to Conception to show up to the event that was held which had students from other colleges over to play games such as basketball, board games, pool, and just getting to know each other. Fisished the night off by doing the Stations of the Cross.
April 7, 2005 (Thursday)
Served the morning mass with no direction on what to do, and got away with it OK. Some of us made our first pilgrimage back to Gambinos since our return from Spring Break.
April 6, 2005 (wednesday)
Went out to eat Chinese for lunch because mass was held at 7pm for the repose of the soul of Pope John Paul II. I will not get to serve this mass even though I was really hoping that I was going to get this one. I look up to the pope a lot and now that he has died I beleive that he is a saint in heaven above.
April 5, 2005 (Tuesday)
Today we celebrated the anniversary of the death of St. Benedict. By being on the acholyte schedule I got to serve mass and vespers for today. Abbott Gregory presided over both events. I also had Subway for supper.
April 4, 2005 (Monday)
Got to serve for the Annucation mass today. All went well, and I will get to serve for the anniversary of the death of St. Benedict. SBS was cancelled, so I was left with an afternoon with nothing to do.
April 3, 2005 (Sunday)
Served at the two masses held today at Notre Dame. After mass asked Fr. if I could hold communion services during the summer on the days that he is unable to do daily mass. Before leaving on my plane my family stopped to east Mexican food. On the flight to Memphis I sat near an Orthodox priest. Arrived back at Conception a little after 10:30pm.
April 2, 2005 (Saturday)
Visited Kay and Henry today. As I was leaving their home the news of the pope's death was aired on Fox News, and it was a dash out the door to ring the bells of our church. After ringing the bells I helped Fr. Jim set the church up for the occasion of the passing of a pope. I got the honor of serving and also of reading the readings of the mass on the same day of the death of the pope. After mass I went out with my family, Fr. Jim, and Tom to eat at Italian Villiage. We ran into the Clark family here.
April 1, 2005 (Friday)
The day started with the news of Pope John Paul II's heart failure during the night. We cleaned up where we were staying and then travelled back to TN where we would work for an elderly lady who had to move out of her house. The news of the Pope was really starting to sink in with the group.
