The Rainbows Had Won

Eyes reminded of dew
Inky ponds dancing off moon beams

Texture of paint
Screaming, tearing, frightening
Blood, sticky, goopy ~ crimson ~ so dark

Rainbows poured across the horizons
Dragons from here ~ butterflies over there
Fighting ~ killing
Blood, sticky ~ crimson ~ dying
The rainbows...fading.

Tears rolled, falling
Big diamond blue pools of nothing
Dropping, dying ~ flying

Gilstening trails of billowing rainbows
Slipping, crying ~ as tears fell
Silently
Dripping, smearing, dying
Crying.

The rainbows had won.
