TITANIC

Titanic

I scream,
I shout.
I look all around.
Where are you, my love?
Where did you go?

I stop and listen,
You call my name!
I'm coming my love,
I'll be there soon!

I enter the room and see you there.
The memory of that moment is vivid.
I'm so relived,
I hug you and say how sorry I am.
You say you need help, but everything will be okay.

I run and I find the only thing helpful,
An ax, it will free you,
I must hurry fast!
Time is running out,
This won't be our last.

I promise, my love,
I'll save you at last.

I run back to your side,
Swing the ax.
You are free!
Oh, thank you God,
For helping me.

We run and try
To find a way out.
"Hurry, this way!"
You shout and shout.

You take my hand,
And pull me through.
You say, "I promise,
I will rescue you!"

We break through the guards,
And into the night.
I hug you close,
I hug you tight.

You drag me to safety,
But as I get further away from you,
I see the hurt in your eyes.
I leap back into danger.

Soon, I'm embraced,
In your loving arms.
I know you are upset with me,
But I can't let you go.

You see,
I love you.
Don't you know?

You know,
I can see it,
In your eyes.
As you kiss me softly,
And say, "We must get out!"

Then a shot rings through the air,
And, oh my love!
It almost hits you!
You realize this, and off we fly,
As the bullets quickly pass us by.
We ran down,
When we should have run up.

We're caught in water,
The gate is locked.
Oh, my love,
Get us out of here!

Someone is coming,
He try's to help.
But the keys fall into the rushing, rising water.

"I'm sorry!" he says, then disappears.
So do you,
Oh my God! I think.
But you come up quick.

"What key?" you cry.
"Which one?"
I tell you,
And it works!

We swim up the stairs,
And into the cold night air.
It's going down fast, we have to stay on,
As long as we can.
We race to the end,
We hold on tight.
"We met here," I tell you,
My love.

You kiss me softly,
And tighten your grip.
The ship is going down,
Awfully quick.

Suddenly,
Something gives way.
We are right side up.
Then quickly, and suddenly,
We start to go down again.

"Over the railing!" you say,
"It will be easier to hold on this way!"
You climb over,
I'm right behind.

We hold on tight,
I will not let you go.
I love you, I do.
I know you know.

We are under the water,
The suction is great,
I don't think my grip will hold on.

We are pulled apart.
I'll find you, I will,
I know in my heart.

I'm above the water,
I scream your name.
Where are you my love?

A man holds me under,
Trying to stay up.
You come and save me,
From that God-awful man.

I love you, my love.
My hero, my life.

You make me swim,
Through that freezing water.
Onto driftwood,
You make me lay.
You hold my hands:
But in the water you stay.

"I love you," this time, I say it out loud.
You frown and tell me,
"No-no good-byes
You will live long, promise me.
And always hold on."

I protest, but you will hear none of that,
"Promise me now!"
You insist, I obey.
"I promise, I promise!" I smile softly and say.

You till me that boats will come,
We'll be saved.
I believe you, my love,
I'll trust you,
Always.

I lay in the darkness
And sing softly,
Suddenly, a light! Shines in my face.

"A boat! A boat!
Oh my love, we're saved!"
I get no reply.
"Honey, my dear?
Open your eyes,
Please!?"

"The boat is here, my sweet,
Open your eyes."
Then I sway,
As I realize.

Oh, my Lord!
Oh my love!
You're gone from this Earth.

The boat passes by,
My eyes grow wide.

Then I remember my promise to you.
Oh, yes, my love
I will live my life through.
I promised, I will never let go!

I free my hand,
Which is frozen in yours.
"I'll never let go!" I whisper,
I kiss your hands,
Then let you go my love.

I cry, as your beautiful face,
Slips out of my view.
I will always and forever,
Be in love with you.

The ship is far away-
"Come back!" I say.
They cannot hear me.

I remember,
The man to my side has a whistle,
Back into the ice water,
I slowly climb.

The tears, still falling,
From my eyes.
I blow the whistle,
And behold!

The boat comes back!
My life is saved!

I promised, my love,
I'll live for you.
I'll do the things,
We promised to do.

I love you, my love,
I really do.
