Love

Love

Exchanged words,
That's all
That's how we started.

A few exchanged letters,
Then, the long afternoon chats
No faces, no looks, no eyes.

I got to know you,
I couldn't judge you,
On how you looked,
Or how you acted.

For some reason,
I think that's best,
I got to know who you were inside
Without judging you.

I got to know your personality.
Your fears, your likes and your dislikes,
And slowly, I fell for you.

Surprisingly, you felt the same.
I was in love.
In love!
Never had I been in love,
Not like this.

You were al that I thought about,
The only think that crossed my mind.
When I closed my eyes,
I thought about you.

I talked about you all times,
For someone I never met,
It must have seemed odd,
But it was so easy.

I talked about your gently words,
How sweet you were,
How you always knew,
Just what I needed to hear.

How much I love you,
How much I still do.

Getting to meet you,
Was a moment I'll never forget.
You couldn't imagine the feeling,
How my heart fluttered inside.

Just getting to feel you next to me,
Hug you,
Hold your hand,
Meant so much to me.

I loved you,
I still do.
The soft kisses
The warm embraces.

Just knowing you care,
About me!
Make me feel so special.

I love you.
