Lost

Lost

You,
You don't know what I've been through.
I've been through so much,
And now I get more.

I've been through suffering,
Teasing and scorn.
I've lost a loved one,
I've lost my home.
My friends,
And my world.

I lost a perfect world.
A world of wonders,
A world of friends.
Of best friends.

I've lost too much,
But I gain much more.
My good world held no teasing,
My world now?
Too much.

My good world held friends.
My new world,
Not enough.

After I left my world for this,
I lost my brother,
To heavenly bliss.

I've lost my teachers,
My school,
My friends.

But I try,
And I try again.

Each day I go through,
It's all the same,
Wake-up thinking,
Today's my day.

I go to sleep thinking,
Maybe tomorrow,
I'll get my way...

Maybe I'll make a friend.
Maybe I'll find myself.

Maybe...
Oh, maybe
Just maybe...

My life will return,
To the good,
Not the bad.

Maybe I'll get my old life back.
But til then,
I'll take my days,
Just step by step.

And I'll make it through,
All my days...
Until I no longer have to worry,
About the next.
