Little One

My Sweet Little One

He was here, but now he's gone.
I miss him so, my sweet little one.

My brother so dear and close to my heart,
I thought that we would never part.

He was so dear, so little, so young,
But now he's gone, my sweet little one.

Where is he now, I do not know.
I hope he is with someone to love.

Someone who will love him,
As much as I, only more, no less.

And someday, I hope, when I am old,
We can be together again, like so long ago.

He was here for such a short time,
So sweet, so dear, so little, so young,

And now he's gone, my sweet, my dear,
My little one.

Elisabeth A. Gildenzoph

"When someone you love dies, they take a piece of your heart with them, and you can only be whole again, when you join them." E. Gildenzoph.
