I Love You

I Love You

I don't know who you are,
I don't know where you came from.

You're a figment of my imagination,
Something so real, but not there.

I wish I could hold you,
Whisper "I love you," in your ear.

I wish I could be there through your hard times,
Even the ones in the past.

I wish I could see you every day,
Hold your hand in the hall.

I wish I could kiss your lips,
And have you hold me tight.

I wish you were by my side,
Day and night.

I wish we had forever,
Even though forever is short.

I wish...so bad,
That we could be together...

Even though I love you,
And know you love me...

Is it really enough?
I can't believe it is.

I need to see you,
Touch you, hold you.

I just wish,
The wishes weren't wishes anymore...
