Eyes

His Eyes

His eyes, as blue as the ocean,
As deep as the sea.
I know his look like I feel his touch,
Tell me, Lord, is it asking too much?

His eyes, the looks of his love,
The gentle warmth like rain.
I know him, through his eyes I can see his soul,
Please God, is it selfish to ask for his heart whole?

His eyes, the anger, sometimes there,
The fierce blind passion so strong.
I know the hunger, wild and free,
Thank you, God, thank you that it's me!

His eyes the happiness that plays so bright,
The amusement of his laughter sparkles like the sun,
I know him, that peace we have together,
Please, God, let this last forever.

His eyes, the love...
The love just for me.
I know that I love him, I feel it there,
Please, Lord, let me have all I can bare.

His eyes...oh my Lord...his eyes.

Elisabeth A. Gildenzoph

"'They say if you truly love someone, you can look into his eyes and see his soul. Now, my love, answer me, Do you love me?' he looked into her eyes and slowly turned his head away." -E. Gildenzoph
