Favorite Husker Games:

94 KSU game. Not so much for the game but the place we watched the game. Huey and I were Bow-Hunting deer up near Gordon, Nebraska. We went into town after hunting that morning and watched our beloved Huskers in a little bar on main street. The rest of that day's hunt was put on hold as we celebrated with our new found Husker brethern.

97 Orange Bowl. Was living in SW Kansas at the time about 4 1/2 hours from Wichita. A friend from HS and college was living in Dallas, called a couple of days before the game and we decided to meet in Wichita to watch the final game coached by T.O. We had a riot partying at the Marriot and fielding calls from the desk to quiet down. After the game we headed down the street to a bar that stayed open way too late. Decked out in Red and having our own little party we really whooped it up when the ESPN report came out claiming us as the #1 team in the coaches poll. Every home and away game holds a place in my heart and I could go on forever.

Why a Husker fan:

I remember as a kid always tagging along with my mom to watch the NU - OU games at a friends or relatives house and the passion and emotion that these normally sane adults would show was amazing. I am now one of those normally sane adults with the exception of 12 to 13 weeks every college football season.

Funniest Husker story:

My aunt and uncle were living in Lincoln. I don't remember the year this took place, but I know it was the mid
70's. My aunt comes home and the TV is missing. Thinking they had been robbed, she calls my uncle at work. Turns out he couldn't stand to see OU come back and beat the Huskers, so he threw the TV outside into the trash can. I love it.
