Current Residence: Omaha, Nebraska (But soon to change because of College)
Favorite Husker: It's a tie between Frazier and Steve Taylor
Favorite Husker moment: Tough Call. My first OU game, which I believe was the year we beat them to go 11-0 and lost to FSU for the title. Maybe the Fiesta Bowl(I was there). The 94 CU game was awesome and the first time I got to see the tunnel walk.
What the Huskers mean to me:
To me, the Huskers are life. Growing up in Omaha, there isn't much to do except Husker football. At school, my friends and I spend more time talking Husker football then anything else including school. It's my way of life. I remember crying so hard when Byron Bennett missed that field goal knowing we outplayed FSU by so much. Sometimes when they lost it's just so tough because it's the only thing that gets me through a year and now great, no title, now I have to wait an entire school year.
Husker football is about the only thing that can still make me cry. The lossses are killer. The wins are great. Seeing the media hype up all these SEC and Big 10 schools so much only to see our beloved Huskers destroy them at will is just great. Nobody respects us, yet we kill anyone in our way. The game atmosphere is amazing(for the good games. I won't get into what it's like sitting through a Pacific game). All I know is that next year at college, I am gonna die not being able to see the Scarlet and Cream play every week. I am currently building up my Husker tape collection to make the transition a little easier.
I am just rambling now, so I will stop. This is just too hard to express in words.
In the deed. The Glory.
