PERSONAL INFORMATION

  • Given name is Jimmie Giffen.
  • Jimmie has two sons, Jimmie III and Jack, and one daughter, Jessica.
  • Retired from the Worms mid-way through the 2001 season, because "the Worms get him into trouble", whatever that means. However, he returned to action in 2008.
  • Delivered a two out, two run single in the top of the 7th inning to give the Worms a 15-14 lead over Southwest Cardiac in the 2000 Dallas Spring City Championship Game.
  • On July 17, 2001, became the first Worm to play all 10 positions in one game.
  • Proudest moment as a Worm came at the all-night Denison tournament in 1998, when excessive alcohol altered his judgement, resulting in humorous moments at 3 a.m. while the Worms were on the wrong end of a can of whoopass.
  • Was voted as the 1996 Tequila Worm Rookie of the Year.
  • Favorite quote is "just say nope to dope".

  • "You know, Beamont really is a shitty ol' place." Jimmie, circa 2001(In the van on the way home from the State Tournament in Beamont).
