| The Worms battled all night to stay in the game despite being short-handed. After falling behind 17-11 after 6 1/2, the Worms rallied for 6 runs to tie the game and force extra innings. That inning included starting with 2 outs and no runs in. With RC on first, Bubba and Bronco both singled. Ken then homered to make the score 17-15. Aaron and Burch both walked. Tim singled to score Aaron and an overthrow scored Burch to tie it. After the LumberKings scored 3 in the top of the 8th, the Worms came right back. RC led off with a single, and Chuck walked. The automatic out followed, and then Bubba, Bronco, Ken, and Aaron all singled to seal the 21-20 win. Ken Washington led the way, going 5-6 with a homer and 8 RBI. Randy Cain had 4 hits, while several other Worms had 3. |
