Comments:
The Worms battle back to knock off the previously unbeated Ronoco gang. Terry Fabian was 3-3 with 2 homers and 4 RBI. Bubba Tipton, Ken Washington,k David Birchfield, and Greg Goebel pitched in with 3 hits also. The Worms trailed 10-5 in the bottom of the 5th inning, but rallied for six runs to take a one run lead. Ronocos scored two in the top of the 6th to regain the lead at 12-11. Tipton lead off with a single, followed by David Rohr's single. Washington flied out to right, moving Tipton to third, and both runners advanced on an overthrow. With the game tied, and Rohr at second, Fabian was intentionally walked. Goebel then delivered a game-winning single to left. The Worms are now back into the thick of the race at 2-2. Ronoco's is 3-1 and plays the 4-0 Mudcats next week.
