What is it about a person that allows you to characterize them? Some people express their views through poetry and a certain object maybe represents others. In my case this can be said for me. Some people overlook the most simplistic objects but I can not, a basketball is a simple object that is bale to clearly define my complex personality. A basketball is an object, which takes years to be good at, an object, which is played better when around better people. This can be said about me. I appear to be a simple person and you think you might understand me but like basketball it takes years to understand how I work and what I am really like. My role of deception is something that I take it consideration and my poems can only give you a clearly picture of how I am. I have chose childish poems and serious poems. I give this contrast because this is how I am. I have a very fun filled humorous, childish side to me but there is also a serious working side to me as well. Shell Silverstein can depict this in the poems that I chose. As for my serious side I chose poems by William Shakespeare. This drastic contrast is what I am all about as a person. I person who can be with any one and have a good time and when the time calls for work I am able to succeed. Another meaning poem is "Up-Hill" I chose this because it portrays how I think about life. I know my life will not get easier and I will just have to keep working harder. A interesting fact that I must take into consideration every day.
