Phony
Are you fake person? What does expression such as this mean? Well I don't know what you are but for a person to be emotionally fake, or for a better word phony, is a great deception. A fraud that leads to the criticism of yourself by others and no appreciates a phony.
A very inadequate definition for someone phony is something that is not real or someone is misleading in the intentions. A phony person would be such a person that only does things for appearance and does not care for what he/she does. He puts up a show for others when at heart the person is not like that.
Contemplating on the thought of phony's a phony would be a person that is making a public appearance at a place because they want him to not because he wants to be there. But a true person, or a person of his heart, not a phony would be the one to go out of his way and make that extra initiative to be seen at a place where he known they want him to be seen but for that fact that he wants to be there for himself.
An example of a phony can be seen in J.D. Salingers Catcher in the Rye. Mr. Ossenburger, the man after whom his dorm is named. To Holden, Ossenburger is just another phony- someone who shows up to football games once and year to make it look as though he actually still cares about the school. Holden can't comprehend his speech about god because his meaning is clouded in his mind. He sees Ossenburger as just bragging that he talks to God this way, which makes Holden more firmly, believe that Ossenburger is a phony.
A phony, is then a man (or women is unreservedly unable to express how he truly is to other human beings. He feels that he needs to put up a show or make himself misleading in some way. All of us are phony in some way or another but a true phony is a person who feels that it is necessary to put on a metaphorical mask and costume before he walks out of the house; a person who lives his life behind a misleading piece of glass.
