- Characteristics: In the Japanese version, it says that one of his major dislikes is talking to girls, but the American version made Sage out to be without a doubt the biggest flirt in the group. He comes from a VERY long line of fighters (One of his descendants, Date Masamune, built a castle in what is now the capitol of Miyagi.) According to the legend, Sage has his eye covered because his opponent in a fight threw something in his eyes. He used to cover his right eye with his hair, so only his left eye was affected. Obviously, after this, he had to cover his left eye instead. His best friend of the group is Rowin.
