RANT #1: WHAT'S WITH THAT HAIR?
I LOVE these guys hair, I really, really do! But HOW DOES IT STAY SO PERFECT? I'd like to know, because on humid days, my hair looks like I stuck my finger into a socket, and I want their secrets! Come on, even the Dynasty is in on this one, I WANNA KNOW!
RANT #2: THE GREAT SWITCHEROO
Every see Ronin Warriors NOT on Cartoon Network? Ever see the opening sequence? Ever notice that ROWIN AND CYE'S ARMORS ARE SWITCHED? Yes, that's right, according to the American opening sequence, the armor of Torrent belongs to a New-Yorker, and the armor of Strata belongs to a shy little British kid! I'm serious! RANT #3: ONE OF THESE EYES ARE NOT LIKE THE OTHER, SO MAKE UP YOUR MIND, WHICH ONE IS IT??
Ever notice that Dais' eyepatch likes to switch eyes a lot? According to the creators of Yoroiden Samurai Troopers, Dais/Rajura's left eye is supposed to be covered by his eyepatch, but THE SHOW CAN'T MAKE UP IT'S MIND! Just look at these two pics! Amazing, huh?
RANT #4: RONIN WARRIORS...WALL DECORATORS OF THE FUTURE?
I love the transformations, but I wanna know: how drunk were the creators of Yoroiden Samurai Troopers when they put WALLPAPER in the transformations? I mean, come on, you might as well make the Jewel of Life a roll of toilet paper! Although this makes the transformations extra super-duper cool, I'd just like an explination of it is all.
RANT #5: AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL, BUT VERY UNACCURATE
Alright. This is one of my biggest rants: The wonderful ACCURACY **coughcoughSARCASMcoughcough** of the American Translations. On behalf of all American Anime fans everywhere, I appologize for the way we SCREW UP your wonderful shows! Come on, I can understand the censoring, but if you're gonna tell the story, TELL IT RIGHT! Here's an example: Rowin is the brains of the group, and Sage is the healer, so how did Rowin become 'Life' and Sage become 'Wisdom'? Well, in Yoroiden Samurai Troopers, it's the other way around, and it makes more sense that way, too!I also like the names they chose for the Americans. Believe it or not, Rowin is a REAL name (There is a person who works on Sailor Moon names Rowan, look for his name in the credits for Sailor Moon on Toonami). Anubis is an Egyptian god, and Sekhmet was the Goddess of Snakes (hence my pen name), so these names were a great idea on the American's part (See, we're not ALL that bad, are we?) I also have heard rumors that in Yoroiden Samurai Troopers, Sage/Seiji supposively hates hanging around girls, yet he's the Ladies Man of Ronin Warriors! Explain to me HOW this was misinterpreted? Also, we managed to translate the Sure Kills pretty well (Well, some of them anyways)
RANT #6: SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW...PEOPLE HAVE REALLY FREAKY HAIR!
Rowin/Touma has blue hair. Kale/Anubis(u) has Blue hair. Dais/Rajura has white hair. Sekhmet/Naaza has a green hair. So answer me this: WHY IN THE HELL DID THEY MAKE THEIR HAIR THOSE COLORS! I read a fanfic one time that had it's own explination of Rowin's hair: He was tricked by a highly popular Woman's fraternity which developed DNA-morphing hair dye. Well, one of these woman Seduced and spent a night with Rowin's father, and while he was asleep, dyed his hair with the Blue colored version of this product. A very intersting explination, indeed, but I just wanted to know if there was any specific reason why they do that (They do that in other Anime's too!)
Ohh, I feel much better now! Just needed to get that out! ^_^
