Duo's past: Duo was born on the colony L2, but his parents died soon after he was born. He was taken in by a boy named Solo, a street pickpocket, and they became the Dynamic Duo (thus Duo's name). Solo died of a mysterious plague, in Duo's arms (sad!!). Duo then became the leader of the group of orphans, until the orphans were taken in by Father Maxwell and Sister Helen. Soon all the children were adopted, except Duo (the potential parents thought Duo was too troublesome). So Duo just stayed at the church. Soon, the war started, and the church was used to house victims of the war. Maxwell talks about pacifism and Heero Yuy (no, not spandex boy, the original), and a soldier threatens Maxwell and Helen, so Duo says that he will get a mobile suit for the soldier. He steals a suit and drives back to the church, but when he gets there, it is a pile of rubble. Everyone died, except Duo, the lone survivor. The scientist (Dr. G, I think) found him and told him to steal the Deathscythe, so Duo could fly it for Operation Meteor. He calls himself Shinigami (the God of Death) because he believes that it is his fault that everyone who gets close to him dies!

My opinion of Duo: Duo was always my favorite character of Gundam Wing, because of his attitude. He is quick to act, quick to smile, quick to laugh, and quick to trust. But behind that jester's mask is Shinigami, the bringer of death. He may be cute, but he's definately someone you would not want to be an enemy of!

Quatre's past: Okie doke, I don't know too much, but here it goes: Basically back in the day, it was hard for women to have birth without dying in the process...So Quatre's mom (Quatrina or something of that nature)kept having children until she could produce a male heir, so *tah dah* Quatre is born! Unfortunately, Quat's mom dies in the process of having Quatre. How sad! Mr. Winner never told Quartre in case he would blame himself for her death. So Quatre grew up believing that he was just another "creation" of his parents, and was quite the spoiled little brat, and didn't care for a thing in the world, not even himself. Well, about a year before Operation Meteor comes around, Quatre gets attacked by Oz forces, and insted of trying to help Rashid and the Maguanacs (I'm not sure how to spell that!!) he decides to take a nap and says that if he dies, his parents can just have another one of him. Well, Rashid wasn't too happy about that comment (all the Maguanacs were test tube babies) and so he smacks some sense into Quatre (literally). Well, then Quatre decides to help, and he sees that he has a knack for piloting. So, the forth Gundam Pilot is born. That's were he gets his neato goggles, by the way!
