Definitions of Technology

- Technology is the technical means people use to
improve their surroundings. It is also a knowledge of using tools and
machines to do tasks efficiently….Technology is everywhere and can make
life better.
- Technology deals with the human-made world. It is
the studies of ways people develop and use technical means - tools and
machines, and tells us how to control the natural and human-made world.
Technology is the application of scientific knowledge for practical
purposes: the employment of tools, machines, materials, and processes to
do work, transport, manufacture, construct, and communicate. Technology is
the way people use things to improve their surroundings - we use
technology to control the world in which we live. Technology is people
using knowledge, tools, and systems to make their lives easier and better.
- Most people would
easily consider computers and the internet technology, but what about
vitamins? if you think of technology as things people create to use to
alter their lifestyle or their surroundings, then vitamins are a
technology…technology is concerned
mostly with machines, and the infrastructure behind those machines…behind
things like radios and telephones and bicycles, there is an entire structure
of less visible technologies (in this case radio towers, phone wires and
roads)…you find an immense network of technology exists today.
- When I think of technology, I think of words like
transportation, computation, innovation, and science. I believe that
technology is the advancement of the human race for it’s betterment.
Technology makes machines and other things faster, easier, and helpful.
Technology is improving, and with this advancement will come a more
hi-tech human race.
