Love ad finem

Love above all else.  Love ad finem;
Stir the wildest berries in its cup
With sweetest thoughts to the brim
Casting off all that's bitter, drink up!

There is no heart that is so hard
That a true loving heart cannot win;
There is none who deserves a reward
Better than he who loves tho' it be a sin!

Love to your heart's greatest delight
For tomorrow may be but a dream
Gone like the wind before end of night
Like leaves carried away by the stream!

Love without restraint for love is good
If not erected on altars of lust and deceit;
Keep on loving! Of life it's the blood,
The sap that unseen does death defeat!

Ad finem love on, until the nightingale
Begins to sing and make you swoon
With songs that seem to sail in the gale,
Sweet companion to the waning moon!

Wherever you go, whatever you do,
Love be foremost in your mind;
It is the balm that will soothe you
Like no other; love will make you kind!

Yes, always love even if others don't
For it is heaven on earth to truly love
While hatred is a hell that alas! won't
Bring you many blessings from above!

Love is giving, it's never a waste
When you give more than what you have;
He who loves much and without haste
Receives much more than he ever gave!
