ELIZABETH Enticingly your beautiful deep-blue eyes Sparkle in the light of the golden sky Sprinkling shimmering flecks of lapis lazuli All over the grass as the sun gloriously rises. Lovingly your smile touches every one you meet And makes one dream of God`s earthly paradise And as the birds with joyful songs the new day greet The flowers seeing you gladly open to the butterflies. Invitingly you show the way to Heaven's Gate That leads to the pure waters of Eden's lake Reminding us of the true delights that await Those who though sinners their sins forsake. Zealously you shower us with words of wisdom Teaching us that life need not be mere suffering And it's so good to live forever in God's Kingdom Far from the sad thoughts that the nights bring. Avidly you seek the pearls of sacred beauty That are hidden in the heart's innermost core For you know that oft beneath many a gully Is to be found a treasure-trove, of gems a true galore! Blessedly you speak of moments of sweet innocence In days gone by and of the years that are to be In words that soothe the tired soul in every sense Spoken as they are so gently, so beautifully. Enamour'd of all things bright and beauteous You see nature through a prism of dancing lights Filling your mind with ideas lofty and marvellous And your inner being with heavenly sounds and sights. Time has no constraints on you nor does it touch The gossamer wings that lift you high in the sky For you are God's favourite child and that by much: You are the chosen one, the apple of His all-knowing eye. Homeward-bound on this long and rocky knoll You show us the easy turns, the lily-studded trails And as closer and closer we come to our goal We all smile for in your eyes we`ve seen the sacred vales!
