Love knows no bounds, at least for a few
Though life itself by Time is circumscribed
Our love through the years strong and true
In unsullied marble forever is inscribed.

On mornings when birds sing all around
And dewdrops on awakening grass moisten
Our youthful eyes where visions abound
We' ll go a-roving hand in hand in the glen.

Untrammelled by the world' s endless sorrows
Our hearts attuned but to the sounds that sing
Of lofty pine-trees in scent-laden meadows
We' ll be as happy as goldfinches on the wing.

I know not if the gods to a distant galaxy
Will guide us in the stillness of the darkest night
Or wantonly keep us apart for all eternity
I know I' ll be there for you at the last light.

So many years have passed in dreams sublime
Of surf and sand in isles where love reigns supreme
For born as we were in sweeter and gentler clime
To one day see Bora Bora is always our dream.

Enchanting days of Spring we' ve had a few
Rapturous morns and eves of autumnal bliss too.
Though many a tropical isle we haven' t seen
We can well keep on dreaming and be serene.
