Cinnamon Apple Pork Chops

POINTS: 6 (7 if you use the Pecans)
MAKES: 4 servings
CRISPY RATING: Yum! I really like fruit with meat dishes.

Ingredients
  • 4 average-sized Porks Chops
  • 3 Tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
  • 2 Tbsp Butter
  • 2 Medium Tart Apples (like Granny Smiths) - peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
  • 3 Tbsp Pecans (optional)

1. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt and pepper to taste.

2. Spray large skillet with Pam and heat over medium-high heat.

3. Place chops in hot pan and cook, turning occasionally, until done. Transfer to warm dish, and keep warm in oven.

4. Add butter to skillet and stir in brown sugar mixture and apples. Cook until apples are just tender.

5. Return chops to pan, spreading apples over chops. Sprinkle with pecans.

MY NOTES AND THOUGHTS:

I really enjoyed this. The apples are juicy and are very tasty with the meat.
